Social and Emotional Milestones(birth to 5 years) - 4 Hrs ($24)
For infants and toddlers, supportive relationships with parents, caregivers, and others are necessary for physical survival as well as healthy social and emotional development. Relationships are the way that children come to know the world and their role in it. They provide the foundation of love and trust necessary to comfort, protect, and encourage children. It is through relationships that children develop social and emotional health, which includes the ability to play, form satisfying connections with others, communicate, learn, overcome challenges, and experience emotions. Nurturing relationships are crucial for the development of trust, empathy, compassion, generosity, and conscience. Return to Course List |
